Splicing together all the clips we took and matching them to beat proved to be a tedious task. We managed to stay true to the majority of our script, taking liberties in some parts when inspiration struck. We uploaded all the clips and photographs we took over the course of filming into a Google Drive - around 68 clips half as many photos.
Filming the same shot/action multiple times over was very useful when it came to putting together all the videos, we had a variety of examples to choose from and to line up in continuation.
Within the freezeframes, we want to distort the image a bit further, and replicate Death Grips’ own music video by overlaying a similar phrase that would repeat regularly. We were decently pleased with our raw footage as is - the contrast between both cameras is clearly apparent and holds the vibe that we were looking for. We exported the video in medium quality, as we plan for the final cut to be in fairly low resolution, leaning towards a more choppy and gritty feel.
In editing, we’ll perhaps change the colour grade of the MV, add effects, distortion, possibly lyrics and anything else that we deem fitting.
